Easiest way to try (install) Windows 3.1 on your current PC

Now we have come to Windows 8.1, there are many who didn't know that how the journey started.
this is a guide about how to try Windows 3.1 .
Though it is easily available on internet but not easy to install for average users on current system so I simplified here.
Those who want to know technical depth can leave this post.

What you need?
  1. Dosbox (x86 Dos emulator). Since Windows 3.1 was just an app which runs on dos.
  2. Windows 3.1 installed files. Get it from here .
Download Dosbox and install on your system. and create a desktop shortcut for it.
Then download Windows 3.1 installed files and extract the content (dosbox folder) to C: drive such that it should appear as C:/dosbox/ , not like c:/dosbox/dosbox .
Now Right click and open the properties of desktop shortcut of dosbox.

Edit the target box from "C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.74\DOSBox.exe" -userconf
to "C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.74\DOSBox.exe" -conf c:\dosbox\123.conf -noconsole -exit

Click Apply and OK.
Now double click that shortcut to open.
You should see the following screen
